East Cooper Regional Medical Center and the Tenet Healthcare Foundation have awarded a $6,000 grant to the Trident United Way. The grant, designated for general operating expenses, was presented to Executive Director Chris Kerrigan on November 11.
"We are extremely grateful to East Cooper Regional Medical Center and the Tenet Healthcare Foundation for their generous donation," Kerrigan said. "This gift will be used in our local area to help get children learning-ready to enter first grade, reduce the staggering number of young adults who fail to graduate from high school, as well as help our senior population remain active and independent in their own homes."
The Tenet Healthcare Foundation along with East Cooper Regional Medical Center directs grants to help healthcare needs in the communities served by Tenet facilities. The Foundation also provides grants to various educational, social services, civic and humanities-supporting organizations nationwide.
