Mt. Pleasant, SC - Proudly sporting their Tenet-teal t-shirts, over 75 East Cooper Regional Medical Center employees, family members and friends gathered together Saturday, October 2nd to participate in the 2004 Lowcountry American Heart Walk in Liberty Square downtown. Walking to increase awareness of heart disease and stroke, participants could choose the 3.1-mile course, the Little Hearts Walk, or the By-Pass Route. Walkers representing East Cooper Regional Medical Center presented $5,200 in donations to the American Heart Association. Proceeds from the event are used to finance education and research to prevent cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
