Mt. Pleasant, SC -  Jan Ledbetter has been selected Volunteer of the Year for the Volunteer Service Organization (VSO) at East Cooper Regional Medical Center. 

Ledbetter has given over 1500 hours of service since joining the organization in June, 2000.  She currently works in the hospital gift shop, is secretary of the VSO and editor of the VSO newsletter.  She was instrumental in creating the new VSO cookbook, "The Best of Our Best" and was responsible for resurrecting the volunteer’s Panda Bear Project, which involves making panda bears for sick children who are having surgery.
