Volunteer Program

Hospital volunteers Carolyn Dixon and Doug Thomas prepare to deliver flowers to patients.

The Volunteer Services Organization (VSO) at East Cooper Regional Medical Center is a nonprofit organization established to benefit and support patients, visitors, physicians, hospital staff and the community.

The VSO manages the hospital gift shop and organizes fundraisers, using all proceeds to benefit local charities, provide medications to patients in need, and award scholarships to students in health related/science fields.  The Special Projects Committee of the VSO makes holiday favors for patients in the hospital and stuffs panda bears to give to children who visit the hospital.  The volunteers at East Cooper Regional Medical Center play a vital role in providing quality care to our patients.
