When I arrived as CEO of East Cooper Regional Medial Center in the fall of 2008, I immediately sensed a genuine warmth and compassion. I quickly realized that the warmth and compassion derived from our incredible community: a community that, with all of its growth, continues to welcome each new resident as if they are a familiar member of the family.
I’ve witnessed that same sentiment conveyed daily in the patient care at East Cooper. Our quality recognitions like 5-star ratings for spine surgery, hip fracture repair and patient satisfaction; Gold Seals from one of America’s most respected health care organizations and our designation as South Carolina’s “Get With the Guidelines Hospital of the Year, are earned simply because when you truly care, quality comes naturally.
Our extraordinary team of health care professionals --some who touch our patients personally, and some who offer support and talents from behind the scenes --are all focused on the same goal—to provide care deserving of our friends, family and neighbors.
As this wonderful community grows, so will the home in which we care for you. Our new hospital, scheduled to open in the spring of 2010, is twice the size of our current facility, and our expanded medical campus offers conveniences and amenities that illustrate our commitment to the community we call home.
We have been a corner stone of our community for the past 23 years, and our appreciation for the opportunity to continue to be East Cooper’s hospital will live strong throughout the years to come.
Thank you for welcoming me and my family into this gracious community, and thank you for making East Cooper Regional Medical Center your hospital.
