A true Carolina girl, she grew up enjoying North and South Carolina. Rinard joined the Air Force “to see the world” and was assigned to Charleston Air Force Base where she served 11 years.
Her interest in sciences and medicine led her to embark on a second career as a Registered Nurse. She earned her BSN at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and worked in critical and cardiac care, long-term acute care and trauma. She earned board certification in Wound and Ostomy care after completing MUSC and Emory University Nursing Education programs.
Her realization of the great need for outpatient wound and ostomy care led her to East Cooper Medical Center’s outpatient Wound Center. “I was afforded a wonderful opportunity to merge with hyperbaric oxygen therapy and a panel of physicians to create and manage the Comprehensive Wound Center. I have immensely enjoyed serving the community by providing advanced wound and ostomy care,” she says.
