MOUNT PLEASANT, SC -- East Cooper Medical Center (ECMC) and the Town of Mount Pleasant have partnered to provide health and wellness services to town employees.

As such, East Cooper Coastal Family Physicians will oversee a convenient, on-site clinic located at Town Hall, and services available at the clinic will include preventive care and basic medical services.

"The Town has been proactive in its response to healthcare cost increase and the impact on our employees and on our taxpayers," said Mayor Billy Swails. "We are looking at affordable and creative ways to reduce our healthcare premiums and improve our employees' health and productivity. We are pleased to partner with ECMC in support of wellness."

"We are extremely excited to partner with the Town of Mount Pleasant," said Evan Ray, Chief Operations Officer at ECMC. "The Town is dedicated to improving employee health and wellness, and we're glad to help make that happen. East Cooper has been Mount Pleasant's hospital for over 25 years, and it makes sense for us to team up with the town, helping them to manage their health benefits."
