Mt. Pleasant, SC - East Cooper Regional Medical Center announced that it has received a CIGNA HealthCare quality designation for Spinal Fusion. This designation means that the hospital has met rigorous quality criteria based on nationally recognized medical standards and expert advice.
“We are pleased that our hospital has been recognized by CIGNA for the high quality care that we provide,” said Judy Doran, RN, chief nursing officer of East Cooper Regional Medical Center. “Our physicians and staff work very hard to provide quality patient care, and this designation is evidence of the high standard of care we deliver every day.”
The CIGNA designation is based on the hospital’s effectiveness in treating the selected condition or performing the procedure. The designation measures and weighs complications, mortality and The Leapfrog Group Patient Safety Index.
