Jason Alexander has been CEO at East Cooper Medical Center since August 2011. He has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and an extensive background in operations and development. Jason previously served as COO at Providence Healthcare in Mobile, AL, as well as Vice President at Singing River Health System on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His healthcare career began at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL, where he served as Director of Business Development and Director of Physician Practice Operations. Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of South Alabama as well as master’s degrees in Health Administration and Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Ramona Pickens has been the Chief Operating Officer at East Cooper Medical Center since October 2012. She started her health care career as a Radiology Technologist and later moved into management in various roles. Her previous experience in Health Care Administration began as Director of Outpatient Diagnostics and later as Vice President of Operations at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. Ramona has an undergraduate degree in Allied Health and a master's degree in Health Care Administration from University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois.
Terri Harris has been CNO at East Cooper Medical Center since June 2014. She came to East Cooper Medical Center from Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama where she served as the Director of Cardiovascular Services. Prior to that, she worked at Singing River Health System in Mississippi as the System Manager of Cardiovascular Services. Her nursing career includes medical surgical, PACU, Critical Care, Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath. Terri earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, and her master's degree in Public Health from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Tracy Hunter joined East Cooper Medical Center in January 2010 as their Chief Human Resources Officer. She has over 25 years of extensive background and experience in all aspects of Human Resources. She previously served as a Vice President of Human Resources in the banking industry, and prior to that, she worked as a Human Resources Generalist for Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana. Tracy earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Indiana University. Additionally, she holds double professional certifications in SPHR and SHRM-SCP.
Craig Maxey joined East Cooper Medical Center in June 2015. He came to East Cooper Medical Center from Houston, Texas where he served as an Administrative Associate in the Tenet Veteran Leadership Development Program. Before joining Tenet, Craig served for 9 years as a Hospital Administrator in the United States Navy, with duty stations that included Camp Lejeune and the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Craig holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Citadel and master's degrees in Health Administration and Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham as well as a master's degree in Operations Research, a division of applied mathematics, from the Naval Postgraduate School.
