Patrick Downes joined East Cooper Medical Center as CEO in March 2017. As CEO, Downes is responsible for all hospital operations, executive planning and medical services. He comes to East Cooper Medical Center from a sister facility, Coral Gables Hospital, where he served as the CEO. Prior to that, he was the chief operating officer of Hialeah Hospital for four years. Patrick also served as the associate administrator for Tenet Florida Physician Services and held the position of associate administrator at North Shore Medical Center. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Science in Business Administration from Florida State University.
