East Cooper Medical Center Acquires Novii Wireless Monitoring for Laboring Patients

Aug 16, 2018

East Cooper Medical Center is the first hospital in the Charleston area to use the Monica NoviiTM Wireless Patch System to monitor fetal heart rate, maternal heart rate and uterine activity, wirelessly through a single patch.

With no cables, belts or transducers and no re-positioning once the signal is acquired, the Novii System grants laboring mothers greater mobility as their bodies prepare for delivery.

“We know that comfort and safety play a key role in the experience our moms-to-be have during their stay at East Cooper,” said Patrick Downes, chief executive officer of East Cooper Medical Center. “With the Novii System, these patients will have the freedom to choose their laboring position, get up and walk around all while providing their caregivers the information needed to ensure a safe delivery for both mom and baby.”

If you are interested in interviewing a member of our team about this technology, or want to see the Novii in action, please contact PR Manager Daisy Burroughs at 803-833-0104, [email protected].
