East Cooper Medical Center Names Tyler Sherrill as its new Chief Executive Officer

Mount Pleasant, SC: - Tyler Sherrill is appointed to the position of chief executive officer of East Cooper Medical Center, effective July 10. In this role, Sherrill will be responsible for overseeing all strategic growth, operational and finances of East Cooper Medical Center.
“Tyler is a steadfast hospital leader with dynamic capabilities and extensive knowledge of the market,” said Eastern Group President for Tenet Healthcare, Maggie Gill. “We are confident he will build upon the growth and development initiatives already underway at East Cooper Medical Center.”
Known for his program development capabilities, Sherrill brings extensive experience in physician engagement and operations to East Cooper from his previous roles. As Chief Executive Officer of Tenet’s South Carolina Physician Operations, he played an integral role in geographic access expansion, physician recruitment, and operational development throughout the state. Before his time with Tenet, Sherrill spent ten years with Community Health Systems, ending his time there as Vice President of Physician Practice Operations.
Sherrill earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee before receiving his MBA from King University in Knoxville, TN.
