On Friday, January 22nd, East Cooper Medical Center conducted a 1,032-dose mass vaccination event at Seacoast Church in Mount Pleasant. The event was a collaborative effort made possible with support from the Medical University of South Carolina, Roper St. Francis Healthcare, The Rotary Club, Seacoast Church and the Town of Mount Pleasant. Individuals eligible for vaccination as part of SC DHEC’s Phase 1a Vaccination Plan, to include seniors age 70 and older and caregivers of chronically ill and special needs children, were able to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at no charge during the drive-up vaccination event. East Cooper Medical Center is proud to serve the community.
