Visitor Restrictions

Visitor Restrictions Guidelines for Coronavirus

Visitation procedures are designed for the protection of our patients, visitors, and employees and out of an abundance of caution, East Cooper Medical Center has instituted a NO VISITOR POLICY.

Exceptions will only be made if the clinical staff determines that a patient requires a support person and only essential patient support persons will be allowed to visit at this time, examples below:

  • Patients critically ill or patients at the end of life
  • Minor patients under the age of 18
  • Patients who need a healthcare decision maker or visitor to help in communication or mobility
  • Patients in active labor

Please notify us if a special safety need exists.

We appreciate your support and understanding during this time.

Our top priority is making sure our patients, visitors, staff and community remain safe. For that reason, we have decided to temporarily forego hosting events, such as educational medical seminars and classes, thereby lessening the potential for exposure to coronavirus. Please continue to check our website for information on when these events will resume.

Restrictions for Hospital Entry/Exit

Entry and exit is now limited to the emergency room only.
