Rest Easy Program

While your newborn is admitted to the Level II Nursery, we provide rest easy rooms for families of infant’s who are not ready for discharge at the time of the Mother’s discharge, or for families who have an infant transferred from an outside hospital. The Rest Easy Program is a complimentary room that allows families to stay overnight in the hospital to be close to their newborn and to participate in their infant’s care. We encourage mothers and the banded support person to care for their infant in the rest easy room the night before expected discharge. Siblings and non-banded visitors may not stay in the rest easy room overnight. East Cooper does not provide food, medication or patient care for individuals staying in the Rest Easy rooms.
