Speech-Language Pathology Rehabilitation Services

East Cooper Medical Center Speech-Language Pathologists perform evaluations and treatments of infants through adults with disorders involving swallowing, oral feeding, cognitive-communication, speech, language, and voice.

Speech-Language Pathologists at ECMC have master’s degrees, hold American Speech-Language hearing Association (ASHA) certificates of Clinical Competence and are licensed by the South Carolina Department of Mental Health and Hygiene.

Team Approach

We collaborate with your health team of physicians and providers to help you achieve the best possible results. If your doctor recommends occupational therapy, physical therapy, and/or the neurological day program we can coordinate these services to make it as convenient for you as possible.

Services offered for neonates and infants:

  • We offer an oral feeding assessment and intervention through the use of specialized feeding tools, techniques, and training of parents and caregivers.
